Ways to Play Tennis

Our tennis courts are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year between 7am and 10pm for you to organise matches or practice sessions. And, if you’re joining as an individual or worried about having a lack of opponents, then we offer lots of ways to meet fellow members and get involved at the club:

Club Nights

Our friendly mix-in sessions are a great way to meet other members and find potential playing partners.

We are currently running two social club nights each week on a Wednesday and Friday evening between 6.00-8.30pm, and a Monday afternoon tennis social between 1.00-3.00pm so that Off-Peak members can join in the fun too. Tennis balls and floodlights (if applicable) are provided.

Singles Box Ladders

The singles box ladders are extremely popular and a great way to instantly immerse yourself in the club, meet other members and engage in competitive play.

The ladders are run throughout the year on a monthly basis, guarantee you at least four matches per month and are open to members of all standards. Click the button below to join.

Mixed Doubles Box Ladders

If doubles is more your thing, you can join the mixed doubles box ladders with your playing partner by clicking on the button below.

N.B. – You will need a playing partner before you join, however, mix-ins and singles ladders are a great way to meet other members,

Adult Coaching

We offer both individual and group coaching sessions depending on your budget and preference. The Adult Group Coaching programme features mixed and ladies-only sessions and aims to cover all the fundamentals of tennis, including: effective strokes, technical/tactical situations, movement patterns and singles/doubles match play. It also provides the ideal opportunity to meet potential doubles partners, competitive opponents or just friends to have a knock about with. Visit our Adult Coaching page for more details.

Teams

The sheer number of teams we have at the club provides the opportunity for players of all different standards to compete in matches against other local clubs. If you are new to LLTSC, or have been around for a while and are interested in getting involved with the teams, then please get in touch with Jake Adams, the Club’s Director of Tennis (and LTA Level 4 Performance Coach) on jake@lltsc.co.uk.  Click here to find out more.

Social Tournaments

Throughout the year, we offer members the opportunity to take part in fun, social tournaments. These are family events that very often finish with an end of tournament BBQ and the chance to dissect your play with a drink in The Hidden Gem.

In previous years we’ve held the Beer Tournament and Club Closed Championships, and we hope to revive these as soon as possible, along with a couple of new events we have waiting in the wings.

Keep an eye out on the Events Calendar for up to date social tournament information.
