It is an honour to represent LLTSC at team level. The club has a strong tennis presence across the divisions in the Coventry and District Summer leagues, the SWAS Men’s Winter league, the Stratford Ladies Winter league and both the Men’s and Ladies Warwickshire Winter Veterans leagues. The sheer number of teams provides a fantastic opportunity for a large group of players of different standards to compete against other clubs.

Therefore, ALL members of the club are eligible for consideration to play in the club teams and must let Jake Adams, LLTSC Director of Tennis (LTA Level 4 Performance Coach) by Wednesday 1st March (jake@lltsc.co.uk) if they would like to attend the Team Trials Day. Players must be able to commit and be available to play the majority of matches during the course of the season both home and away.
Team Trials Day
Interested members will be expected to attend team trials. These are scheduled for 18th and 25th March 2023 with the ladies’ team trials taking place between 2.00-4.00pm and the men’s team trials 4.00-6.00pm.
Selection Panel
This year, the selection panel will comprise Jake Adams, Miguel Espada (LTA Level 4 Performance Coach) and Fiona Roche (LTA Level 3 Coach), who will use their experience and professionalism to select the appropriate teams. Selection criteria is as follows:
Team allocations will take place in the two weeks following the trials, with a maximum of 12 players per team. The selection committee will publish the names of all team players and submit the allocated names to the designated Team Captains for that season. Captains are allocated based on their suitability to lead and organise a team. Some flexibility is built in for Captains to discuss adjustments to their team, as the season progresses, in direct consultation with the selection committee.
Junior players (U18) can be selected to compete in the Men’s and Ladies squads to strengthen teams and gain valuable experience/development at adult level.
